Recently married to my beautiful wife Karla, our story goes back as long as my interest in photography. We had an amazing wedding on Sand Key Beach in the company of our family and friends.
Born in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and at the age of 4 we moved to Maple Grove, MN. While attending the Indianapolis 500 every year with my parents Susan Reading and Jim Adams, always with a camera in hand. Early photo albums are littered with photos year after year from Indy.
I attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN. My interest in photography began during summer vacations with my grand parents Thomas & Helen Reading. They took me to so many amazing places and created so many memories. I have a huge collection of photos to remember our times together. Without photography I am sure I would have forgotten some of them, but very thankful that I got to spend so much time with my grand parents. It is in these photographs that my memories come back to life. Some of the places they took me were:
- Fishing trips with grandpa to Northern Minnesota and Canada
- Historic Detriot
- Niagra Falls
- Ohio - Airplane Museum
- Washington, DC
- Pentagon
- Smithsonian
- Gettysburg Battlefield
- Badlands
- Mt. Rushmore
- Yellowstone National Park
- Glacier National Park
- Calgary - Olympic Village
- Banff, Canada
- And many trips to visit them in Florida
Photography classes began in high school and continued through college at the University of Minnesota. I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors in Photography, Electronic Art, and Rhetoric. While attending college I began inline skating and eventually spent much of my time training and racing on inline skates. I met and skated with so many great people who became the best friends I could hope for. My last year in Minnesota, I had some of my camera equipment stolen. In 2002, I moved to Florida to be closer to my family and to warm up from a very cold winter. A couple years later I made the switch from 35mm to digital photography. I have since been photographing so many things as you can see by viewing a few of my photo galleries.
